Amclav 156.25mg Syrup – Effective Liquid Antibiotic for Children

Amclav 156.25 mg syrup is an oral antibiotic suspension combining amoxicillin and clavulanic acid to treat a variety of bacterial infections. The amoxicillin kills the bacteria, while clavulanic acid helps prevent resistant bacteria from neutralizing the antibiotic.

This suspension is especially useful for children or people who have difficulties swallowing tablets. It comes as a reconstituted liquid (after mixing) with a palatable taste, making dosage easier. The formula and dosage are carefully measured to ensure proper effectiveness while minimizing discomfort for pediatric use.

  • Treats a wide range of bacterial infections
  • Effective even against resistant bacteria due to clavulanic acid
  • Liquid formulation makes it child-friendly
  • Easy to dose accurately with provided measuring device
  • Suitable for pediatric patients who can’t swallow tablets

  1. Shake the bottle well before each dose to ensure the medicine is evenly mixed.
  2. Use the measuring spoon, cup, or dropper provided to measure the correct amount.
  3. Give the dose orally, with or just after food to reduce stomach upset.
  4. Administer it two or three times daily, as directed by your doctor and according to the severity of the infection.
  5. Always finish the full course, as prescribed, even if symptoms get better before the medicine is finished.

Q1: Can this syrup be given to infants?
A1: Yes — Amclav 156.25 mg/5 ml suspension is commonly used in infants and children, based on weight and doctor’s prescription.

Q2: What kinds of infections does this syrup treat?
A2: It’s used for respiratory infections (like bronchitis, sinusitis), ear infections, skin infections, and more.

Q3: Is this safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women?
A3: Use with caution — co-amoxiclav is excreted in human milk, so a doctor should weigh benefits versus risks.

  • Store the reconstituted suspension in a cool place (or as advised) and shake well before each use.
  • Monitor for signs of gastrointestinal upset (diarrhea, nausea); if severe or persistent, consult a doctor.
