Accurate Home Blood Pressure Monitoring

The Certeza BM-404 is a fully-automatic arm-type blood pressure monitor built for home use by adults who want professional-level readings in a compact design. It features one-touch automatic inflation using the oscillometric method, a large LCD screen for clear read-out, cuff fit and motion-error indicators, and dual-user memory (2×99 readings) — ideal for tracking your trends over time.
It supports arm circumference of 22 – 42 cm and includes a USB-C external power port for optional convenience alongside battery power. Whether you’re monitoring blood pressure regularly or just want reassurance, the BM-404 offers reliable accuracy and user-friendly features in a home health device.

  • Enables regular, accurate blood pressure monitoring at home, helping early detection of hypertension and aiding physician discussions.
  • Dual-user memory means shared use across households (e.g., partner/spouse) without mixing data.
  • Hypertension risk & irregular heartbeat indicators provide instant visual cues rather than just numbers.
  • Oscillometric automatic inflation and USB-C support make it easy and convenient, especially for older users or those less tech-savvy.
  • Compact and portable—the included storage pouch and light weight make it travel-friendly for continued monitoring.

  1. Wrap the cuff snugly around your upper arm (22–42 cm circumference) about 1 cm above the elbow, keeping tube facing downward.
  2. Sit upright and keep your arm resting on a table at heart level; press the start button.
  3. The monitor will automatically inflate and deflate the cuff while measuring. Stay still and silent during this time.
  4. When the measurement is complete the systolic & diastolic values plus pulse will display. The device stores the reading in user-memory.
  5. For the most reliable trends, take three readings in succession with about 1 minute rest between each, then use the average reading for tracking.

  6. After use, turn off the device, remove the cuff and store both the monitor and cuff in the supplied pouch out of direct sunlight.

1. Can two people use the BM-404 separately and track readings?
Yes — it has memory for 2 users, each storing up to 99 readings.

2. Does it support USB-C power rather than just batteries?
Yes, the unit includes a USB-C input option for external power or adapter use.

3. What cuff size does it support?
The device supports upper-arm circumference from 22 cm to 42 cm — fitting most adult arms.

4. What indicators does it include?
It shows hypertension risk alerts, irregular heartbeat detection, cuff wrap warning and motion error indicator.

5. How accurate is the monitor?
While manufacturer accuracy claims aren’t detailed here, it uses oscillometric measurement method and meets typical home-monitor standards (±3 mmHg is a common benchmark). Always cross-check with a clinical device for precision.

  • Ensure the cuff is placed on bare upper arm. Incorrect placement or measuring over clothing can lead to inaccurate readings.
  • Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measurement, with your arm at heart level, to avoid motion or posture errors.
  • This monitor is for regular self-monitoring only—it is not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis or treatment. Record results and consult your physician if readings remain high.
  • Use only in a stable, dry environment; do not expose the device to direct sunlight, high humidity or strong electromagnetic fields. Remove batteries if unit will not be used for extended periods.
  • If you experience irregular heartbeats, dizziness or symptoms of cardiovascular distress, stop relying on home readings and seek medical attention immediately.
