Accurate Home Monitoring for Better Heart Health

The Certeza BM-400 Arm Blood Pressure Monitor is a sophisticated upper-arm digital BP device designed for home use by adults who want reliable, clinical-level readings in the comfort of their home. It features one-touch automatic inflation, a large LCD display, and memory storage for two users each with 120 readings, making it ideal for couples or shared use. The monitor supports arm circumference between 22–40 cm, uses oscillometric measuring technology, and includes USB-C port for optional external power support.
Its built-in hypertension risk indicator and irregular heartbeat detection provide added confidence in tracking cardiovascular health over time, while the “average of last three readings” feature gives a meaningful snapshot rather than a single isolated reading. Whether you already monitor your blood pressure or plan to begin, this model offers dependable performance for daily or weekly routines.

  • Enables regular, accurate blood pressure monitoring at home, helping early detection of hypertension and aiding physician discussions.
  • Dual-user memory means shared use across households (e.g., partner/spouse) without mixing data.
  • Hypertension risk & irregular heartbeat indicators provide instant visual cues rather than just numbers.
  • Oscillometric automatic inflation and USB-C support make it easy and convenient, especially for older users or those less tech-savvy.
  • Compact and portable—the included storage pouch and light weight make it travel-friendly for continued monitoring.

  1. Sit upright with back supported, feet flat on floor, and bare upper arm exposed. Wrap the cuff around your arm at heart level (22–40 cm circumference).
  2. Press the power/start button—device will automatically inflate and then slowly deflate while measuring blood pressure and pulse.
  3. Remain still and do not talk during measurement; once completed the reading will appear on the large display and be stored in memory.
  4. For best results, take three consecutive readings one minute apart and use the average value for tracking trends.
  5. After use, press the power button to switch off; remove cuff from arm, store the monitor upright with pouch, and remove batteries if unused for long periods to avoid corrosion.

1. Can the BM-400 be used by two different people and track each separately?
Yes — it offers memory for 2 users with 120 readings each so two people can record their data separately.

2. Is it suitable for small adults with slimmer arms?
The cuff supports arm circumferences from 22 to 40 cm, which covers most adults. For much smaller or larger arms a different cuff size may be required.

3. What do the hypertension and irregular heartbeat indicators mean?
When the monitor detects readings above the threshold or irregular pulse during measurement, it flags an icon on the screen. These are warning indicators—not definitive diagnosis.

4. Can I power this via USB instead of batteries?
Yes — in addition to 3×AA batteries, the unit supports a 5 V 1 A USB-C external power adapter (sold separately).

5. How often should I take measurements for trend tracking?
For meaningful trend tracking, measure at the same time each day (e.g., morning before medications) and record averages of 3 readings weekly—then consult your doctor with the trend rather than a single value.

  • Always sit and relax at least 5 minutes before measurement; ensure the cuff is applied to bare upper arm (no thick clothing) and wrist/table are level with the heart—incorrect position may give inaccurate readings.
  • Do not inflate cuff manually beyond recommended level; if repeated error or discomfort arises, stop measuring and consult a healthcare professional.
  • This device is for home-monitoring only, not a substitute for diagnosis or prescription treatments; any abnormal readings should be discussed with your doctor.
  • Avoid children’s use without adult supervision and do not store unit in extremely hot, cold or damp conditions; batteries used must be of correct type (3×AA) or optional 5 V USB-C adapter to avoid damage.
  • Keep monitor and cuff clean; if you suffer from arrhythmia, vascular disorders or are pregnant, talk to your doctor before relying entirely on this monitor.
