Cefiget DS is an oral suspension that contains cefixime (200 mg per 5 ml), a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It’s manufactured by Getz Pharma. This high-strength “DS” (double strength) formulation is ideal for treating moderate to severe bacterial infections, especially in patients who need a powerful dose in liquid form. 

This suspension works by interfering with the bacteria’s cell wall synthesis, causing bacterial cell death. It’s commonly used for infections such as urinary tract infections, ear infections (otitis media), tonsillitis, and bronchitis.

  1. Shake the bottle well before measuring each dose.
