Active-Strength Solution for Inflammatory & Non-Inflammatory Acne

Benclin Gel 10 g combines two clinically recognized actives—Clindamycin 1% w/w, a topical antibiotic, and Benzoyl Peroxide 5% w/w, an antibacterial and keratolytic agent—into a single gel formulation.  This potent combination is designed to reduce acne-causing bacteria, unclog pores, reduce inflammation and treat both inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesions of acne vulgaris.
The lightweight gel texture allows easy application to affected areas such as face, back or chest, making it suitable for oily and acne-prone skin. Being a prescription-strength treatment, its use must be guided by a dermatologist, especially due to the antibiotic component and increased sun sensitivity associated with benzoyl peroxide.

  • Dual-action formula reduces acne-causing bacteria and clears clogged pores for faster lesion reduction.
  • Helps treat both non-inflamed (blackheads/whiteheads) and inflamed (pimples, pustules) acne types.
  • Lightweight gel penetrates easily into oily/acne-prone skin without heavy residue.
  • Convenient 10 g size allows focused application, making it suitable for treatment zones.
  • When combined with sun-protection and skin-care, supports clearer, healthier-looking skin beyond breakout control.

  1. Cleanse the affected area gently with a mild, non-soap cleanser and pat dry completely.
  2. At dusk (or as prescribed), apply a thin layer of the gel to the acne-affected area(s) (face, chest, back), avoiding eyes, mouth and adjacent sensitive skin.
  3. Use once daily (or as directed by your dermatologist). If skin tolerates well after a few weeks, your doctor may advise twice-daily application.
  4. In the morning, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen and use gentle moisturiser if needed to manage dryness.
  5. Monitor your skin for expected responses (e.g., mild redness, peeling) and report persistent irritation, worsening lesions or unexpected side-effects to your physician.

1. What-type acne is Benclin Gel suitable for?
It is indicated for acne vulgaris and covers both inflammatory (papules, pustules) and non-inflammatory (blackheads, whiteheads) lesions.

2. How long before I see visible results?
Some users may notice reduced acne lesions in 4–8 weeks; clearer skin texture may require 8–12 weeks of consistent usage and sun-care.

3. Can I use it with other acne treatments like retinoids or acids?
Yes, but caution is required: combining with other potent actives may increase irritation. Always follow your dermatologist’s advice regarding layering.

4. Are there common side-effects?
Yes—possible side-effects include dryness, peeling, redness, burning sensation or increased sensitivity to sunlight. If severe, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

5. Can it be used on body acne (e.g., back, chest)?
Yes — the gel may be applied to larger acne-prone areas under guidance, but do patch testing and ensure sun-care when skin is exposed.

Clindamycin 1% w/w, Benzoyl Peroxide 5% w/w, Carbomer (gel base), Sodium Hydroxide, Dioctyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate, Purified Water (Aqua)

  • Intended for external use only on intact skin; avoid applying to broken, severely irritated or sunburned skin.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, lips, nostrils and mucous membranes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide, lincomycin or any component of the formulation.
  • The benzoyl peroxide component increases sensitivity to sunlight; apply broad-spectrum sunscreen during use and avoid heavy UV exposure.
  • Store the tube in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children; consult a physician if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a history of ulcerative colitis or antibiotic-associated colitis due to the clindamycin.
