Amclav 625mg Tab – Strong Antibiotic Against Resistant Bacteria

Amclav 625 mg tablet is a powerful antibiotic that combines amoxicillin with clavulanic acid (co-amoxiclav), making it effective against a wide range of bacterial infections — especially those that produce beta-lactamase and resist plain amoxicillin.
This film-coated tablet is intended for oral use; it should be swallowed whole and taken with food to reduce stomach upset.
Because of its broad-spectrum coverage, Amclav 625 mg is often prescribed for severe infections of the respiratory tract, skin, soft tissue, urinary tract, and bone.

  • Treats a broad spectrum of bacterial infections
  • Effective against beta-lactamase producing (resistant) bacteria
  • Useful in skin, respiratory, urinary, and bone infections
  • Combats bacteria more effectively than amoxicillin alone
  • Helps reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance when used properly

  1. Take 1 tablet of Amclav 625 mg three times daily (or as directed by your doctor).
  2. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
  3. Take it at the start of a meal to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.
  4. Do not chew or crush the tablet — this may affect how the drug is absorbed.
  5. Finish the complete course, even if you feel better before it’s over.

Q1: Can I take Amclav 625mg every day?
A1: Only take it as prescribed — typically 1 tablet 3x per day for severe infections, not for long-term use.

Q2: Is it safe for people with liver problems?
A2: Use with caution if you have liver issues — there’s a risk of liver toxicity or jaundice.

Q3: When do I start feeling better?
A3: Many patients feel improvement within a few days, but you must complete the full treatment to fully clear the infection.

Q4: What makes Amclav 625mg better than regular amoxicillin?
A4: The clavulanic acid component helps overcome bacteria that are resistant to amoxicillin alone.

Q5: Can pregnant or breastfeeding women take this?
A5: Use only with medical supervision — your doctor will weigh the benefits vs. risks carefully.

Amoxicillin Trihydrate (equivalent to 500 mg amoxicillin), Potassium Clavulanate (equivalent to 125 mg clavulanic acid), Microcrystalline Cellulose, Sodium Starch Glycolate, Magnesium Stearate, Film-coating agents.

  • Do not use if you are allergic to penicillin or beta-lactam antibiotics.
  • Use caution if you have liver impairment or a history of jaundice.
  • Adjustments may be needed if you have severe kidney disease.
  • Be aware of possible allergic or severe skin reactions (e.g., Stevens–Johnson syndrome).
  • Stay well-hydrated to reduce risk of crystalluria.
  • Complete the entire prescribed course, even if symptoms improve early, to avoid resistance.
  • Store at room temperature, away from moisture.
